HHH'S RETURN TO RAW, BACKGROUND ON JESSE AND FESTUS & MO

As we noted last week on the PWInsider.com Elite Hotline, the Jesse and Festus Dalton duo is a takeoff of Lenny and George in the John Steinbeck novel "Of Mice and Men." The gimmick was a Michael Hayes idea. Jesse is the son of Hayes' long-time partner, the late Terry Gordy, so Hayes had been pushing for him to be brought to the main roster for some time. Festus is the "fake" Kane from a few months back on Raw, aka the Freakin' Deacon in WWE developmental. The original plan was to team Gordy with Henry Godwin, but Godwin was released by the company so Hayes came up with the Daltons deal.

Mick Foley is slated to host a "WWE Day" series of events on 8/19 at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ.

Bobby Heenan is slated to appear at the Wizard World convention this weekend in the Chicago area.

WWE ranked 10th in most popular searches on the Lycos search engine for the period ending 8/4. R&B singer Beyonce was the most popular search of that time period.
