- The next installment of WWE Classics on the Madison Square Garden Network will feature bouts from the first-ever Summerslam PPV in 1988. They previewed clips of Randy Savage & Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant and Ted DiBiase with Jesse Ventura as the special referee. My guess is that they'll show Ultimate Warrior's 31 second Intercontinental title win over the Honkytonk Man as well.
HHH is featured on the official Summerslam 2007 poster.
Due to commitments with World Wrestling Entertainment on Summerslam weekend, Gene Okerlund had to bow out of the Legends of the Ring V convention in Carteret, NJ on Saturday 8/25. Fellow WWE Hall of Famer Bobby Heenan will be replacing him. Others on the bill for the convention, which is usually a well organized event and worth the time attending, include Vader, Salvatore Sincere (Tom Brandi), a Hart Foundation reunion, Strike Force, Scotty Too Hotty, Tony Garea, Giant Silva of Oddities fame, Bob Orton, The Bezerker, Ron Bass, Zeus, Dustin Rhodes, and The Beverly Brothers, among others.
